I’m sure you must’ve received countless messages that read something in lines of:
“May this new year brings to you luck and prosperity.”
“May god bless you.”
“May this festive season brings you loads of joy, fun, and laughter.”
I’m not sure about you but what’s the deal with all these “mays”? My logical mind can’t help but question their integrity. Do they really mean what they say? It sounds superficial, made-up, and non-committal.
I think if you want to wish someone good don’t be vague. Be certain. I would reword the messages above to the following:
“Let this new year brings to you good luck and prosperity.”
“God bless you.”
“Let this festive season brings you loads of joy, fun, and laughter.”
Know what I mean? Let’s go all in and commit to the language or let’s not do at all.
